1. Your Right to Delete Your Data

At Ride Along, we respect your right to control your personal data. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.

2. How to Delete Your Account

2.1 In-App Deletion

1. Open Ride Along
2. Go to Profile → Settings
3. Scroll to Account
4. Tap Delete Account
5. Confirm with your password
6. Type "DELETE" to confirm

2.2 Email Request

Send a deletion request to: delete@ridealong-app.com

Include:

• Your registered email address
• Account confirmation (we may request verification)

3. What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

3.1 Immediately Deleted

• Your profile information (name, bio, profile picture)
• Your motorcycles/garage
• Your travel preferences
• Your settings
• Your friend connections
• Your group memberships

3.2 Within 30 Days

• Your ride history and GPS data
• Your route plans

3.3 Anonymized (Not Deleted)

• Chat messages you sent (marked as "Deleted User")
• Your contributions to group conversations

4. Data We May Retain

We may retain certain data as required by law:

• Transaction records (if applicable)
• Legal compliance records
• Anonymized analytics data

5. Consequences of Deletion

Once deleted:

• You cannot recover your account
• Your username may become available to others
• Your friends will see you as a removed user
• Your group memberships will be revoked

6. Cooling-Off Period

There is no cooling-off period. Once confirmed, deletion begins immediately and cannot be reversed.
